Terms of Service
Last updated September 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ikigai (“Ikigai,” “we,” “us”), a personal weekly-planning and time-tracking web application. By creating an account or using Ikigai, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. What Ikigai is
Ikigai is a personal productivity tool for one person to plan their own week, work from a day timeline, track time, and keep up with habits and tasks. It is not a project-management or team-collaboration product: there is no way to share a workspace, assign work to someone else, or grant another person access to your account, and we don’t build the service around that use case.
2. Who can use Ikigai
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide (name, email address) is accurate.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. You may also sign in with Google; doing so is subject to Google’s own terms in addition to these.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Ikigai for anything illegal, or to store or transmit content you don’t have the right to store;
- Attempt to access another person’s account or data;
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to circumvent its rate limits or security;
- Reverse-engineer the service beyond what applicable law expressly permits.
5. Your content
Everything you create in Ikigai — tasks, projects, notes, time entries, habits, and anything else you enter — is yours. We don’t claim ownership of it. We process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Cost
Ikigai is free to use today — there is no paid plan and we don’t collect payment information. If that changes in the future, we’ll update these Terms and let existing users know before any charge applies to them.
7. Availability and changes to the service
Ikigai is under active development. We may add, change, or remove features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances outside our control. We’ll try to minimize disruption but don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Ending your use
You may stop using Ikigai at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the service or other users. To request that your account and data be deleted, contact us at the address below.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Ikigai is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we encourage you not to rely on it as your only record of anything time-sensitive or critical. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Ikigai will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
